Delhi Mayor Rajni Abbi ruminated over the issue of christening a Delhi road after Sachin Tendulkar. “Almost 2.5 lakhs people responded in favour of christening a Delhi road after Sachin Tendulkar. Indian cricket team and Bollywood actors have also complimented such a step,” said Rajni Abba, Delhi’s Mayor.
She further remarked, ”Earlier also a Delhi road was christened after the name of a living legend Nelson Mandela.
There is a debate going on over the issue of conferring Bharat Ratna upon Sachin Tendulkar and hence there is no problem in christening a road after hm.”
