UTTARAKHAND POLICE STARTS ALCOHOL REHAB FOR ITS STAFF UTTARAKHAND POLICE STARTS ALCOHOL REHAB FOR ITS STAFFThe Uttarakhand police department is to start a rehabilitation facility for those of its officers who have alcohol addiction issues. Police personnel from every station will be monitored until they are completely clean. Pushkar Singh Sailal, the SSP of Haridwar denied that there are officers who have alcohol problems. The police officers from new batches are mostly sober, he said.

When asked why there came a need for the rehab, he said that the intention was to help anyone who might be having problems letting go of such habits. It does not mean that the situation is rampant, he clarified.
