LUCKY ESCAPE FOR ICE HOCKEY PLAYERS DURING TRAINING LUCKY ESCAPE FOR ICE HOCKEY PLAYERS DURING TRAININGFormer National Hockey League player Richard Zednik and a Slovak youth ice hockey team had a close escape when the roof of the newly-opened rink they were training on collapsed under heavy snow.
Young players were on the ice with Zednik at the Altis Hotel in Namestovo on Sunday when parts of the ceiling started to fall onto the ice.

Players fled from the rink as huge cracks appeared in the roof before it crashed down. Nobody was injured in the incident.
