The 14th Vintage Car Rally has started at Jaimahal Palace of Jaipur, Rajasthan today. More than 100 models of vintage cars are going to be a part of the rally this year. The motorcade of classic cars of yesteryear has been organised jointly by Rajputana Automotive Sports Car Club and Audi India.
The event has been inaugurated by Jessica Gardner, Marketing Head of Audi India. The rally will be flagged off by Princess Diya Kumari from Jaimahal Place, Jaipur ending at Hotel Clarks, Aamer.
Retired brigadier P S Kapoor, fond of vintage cars told that very few and highly privileged people could buy a car in olden days.
The high point of the rally is an Audi-100 won by former cricketer Ravi Shastri in the World Cup in 1985. Vintage cars such as Cadillac, Ferrari Mondial, Ruskin and Austin Chummy held onlookers and car enthusiasts spell bound. Vintage Car owners from neighbouring states are too participating in the rally.
