MAJOR FIRE GUTS TWO CAFETERIAS IN ISTANBUL

A major fire broke out at a plaza in Istanbul completely gutting two cafeterias.
The incident occurred at BJK Besiktas Gymnastics Club Plaza which housed the two coffee houses.

The fire tenders were immediately pressed into service. The blaze could be brought under control in an hour. Those present at the plaza were swiftly evacuated to safety.
The rising flames shot high into the sky creating panic and fear among the residents of the neighbourhood.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet and an investigation has been launched in the incident. No injuries or casualties have been reported.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA’S BIRTH ANNIVERSARY: THOUSANDS OF YOUTHS THRONG TO JOIN 17th YOUTH

Mangalore city of Karnataka is hosting 17th National Youth Festival which is observed to commemorate the birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Thursday (January 12th every year). Thousands of youths from across the country thronged the city to participate in the five days event which will conclude on January 16th. The event is to be inaugurated by Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda.

The youths after arriving at the venue, were highly charmed by the hospitality offered by the state government.
“Very good arrangements have been made here,” said a girl.
Over 4000 youths from 28 states and seven union territories are participating in the event which is being held at Mangalore’s TMA Pai Hall.

DIFFERENTLY ABLED CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN KITE FESTIVAL

Deaf and dumb children participated in the International Kite festival organised at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. These children promoted the cause of communal harmony and brotherhood by flying kites.
The 20th International Kite Festival was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi at the Sabarmati riverfront. Along with these children, participants from across 20 states attended the festival.

The children were in high spirits at the festival and felt the thrill of flying kites at such an event for the first time.
Also, Chief Minister Narendra Modi gave his autograph to these children and they expressed their gratitude to him through sign language.
