Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina BANGLA PM ASK INDIA TO BE MORE CONSIDERATE TOWARDS HER COUNTRYThe visiting Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon India to be more generous and proactive in resolving outstanding issues like water sharing and in eradicating poverty of the both countries.
Hasina, who is on a two-day visit to Agartala, felt that India as a larger and economically stronger country should be more considerate and take the lead role for balanced development of the two neighbours.

She was delivering a speech in a bilateral meeting of the business delegations of the two countries at Prjana Bhawan on Wednesday night. She also called upon the Indian business men to invest in her country in bigger way and emphasised that political good will which is now on strong sail would help improve the bilateral relations in other spheres also.
Hasina has also asked government of India to allow Bangladesh to have stakes in the upcoming 746 mw Palatana power project of the ONGC in South Tripura. Hasina announced that her government had already decided to allow Tripura and North East region in general to use Chittagong, Mongla and Ashuganj ports. She will be conferred an Honorary DLit by the Tripura central University today in their 9th convocation. Union HRD Minister kapil Sibal and Chief Minister Mani Sarkar received Hasina in the airport. In his speech Sibal stressed upon development of skills and better academic environment as well as regular exchange of students between the two countries.
