LESS THAN 4 PERCENT OF U.S. HOSPITALS BACKS BREASTFEEDING

According to reports, less than four percent of hospitals in the United States has expressed its full support for breast-feeding program for their own government. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has revealed the majority of hospitals in the country not to encourage breast-feeding infants who put a higher risk ofchildhood obesity, diabetes and other conditions.

U.S. health officials said only a third of hospitals have “rooming in” policy, which allows children to the hospital room with her mother 24 hours a day, which can increase breast-feeding opportunities.
